I scream, You scream, lottery winners scream for Ice cream!

If you win a lottery, we’re sure you already have plenty of ideas on where and what to spend the money. However, at some point, there will be something seemingly insignificant, like ice cream, that you may wonder, “What's the most expensive version of this? We’ve compiled a list of the most expensive ice creams in the world here so you can decide if you would spend your winnings on it.

Byakuya

Byakuya

Byakuya translates to “White Night.” Can you imagine holding a world record title? You probably can’t, but this ice cream will set you back $6,309 per 122g. That is a pricey piece of ice cream, and the ingredients it lists might raise some eyebrows, including phantom white truffles, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese flakes, white truffle oil, black truffles, sake lees, and edible gold leaf.Even the spoon is quite the particularity, a specially hand-crafted metal spoon made by the Takeuchi artisans in Fushimi, Kyoto. This spoon isn’t your average store-bought utensil, made with materials and techniques typically reserved for constructing temples and shrines. Speaking to Guinness World Records, the brand behind this ice cream (Cellato) says it took over one and a half years to develop this record-breaking desert. Cellato suggests that this expensive ice cream is consumed within ten days of purchase. A Cellato spokesperson told Guinness World Records, “It took us over 1.5 years to develop, with many trials and errors to get the taste right.”

Strawberries Arnaud ice cream

Strawberries Arnaud ice cream

Is strawberry your favourite flavour? Then, this may be the dessert for you. A heavenly combination of whipped cream and fresh strawberries is peppered with mint, expensive Oporto sauce, and red wine sauce and finally garnished with edible gold. The dessert is not yet complete without the metaphorical cherry on top, but this is one you don’t want to eat. Since so many couples have used Arnaud’s Restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana, as a place to pop the question, the creators of this sumptuous dessert felt that a final touch was necessary. So, the metaphorical cherry is inside (not on top), and it's not a cherry but a 4.7-carat pink diamond ring. This is a perfect combination, as pre-ordering the dessert means the restaurant will even get the engagement ring for you. So, if you’re looking to splurge on popping the question, Arnaud’s has got you covered.

MrBeast’s ice cream sundae

MrBeast’s ice cream sundae

Third place goes to the famous Youtuber MrBeast, who commissioned this gigantic gelato. This sumptuous sundae is made of several pricey ingredients that required importing them. Starting with South American chocolate barks worth $500 each and rare Japanese strawberries, both flown in on first-class flights. These special strawberries are soaked in grape juice worth over $20K. The desert is finally garnished with candied peaches worth $500 each, drenched in a $3K caramel sauce and drizzled with a wild huckleberry sauce for $50 per spoon and a butterscotch that costs $45,000. MrBeast additionally handed the chef a $20K tip for the marvellous creation.

Absurdity Sundae

Absurdity Sundae

The absurdity behind this desert is not simply in its creation but also in its serving. We’ll start with the concoction of this creamy creation and what goes into it. Starting with a banana which is covered in a variety of decadent syrups made from rare dessert wines, including a Chateau D’Yquem, a German Trokenbeerenauslese and a 1960s vintage port before being topped with three scoops of superbly decadent ice cream. Now, for the serving, nothing is inspiring about the plate, but notably, the spoon you are offered to eat with is an antique: a solid gold spoon dated somewhere from the 1850s. Finally, you’re probably wondering why the “where” it is served hasn’t been mentioned yet. Since you won’t find this dish inside a restaurant, you’re probably wondering how you place your order and where you eat it. The answer is that included in the price is a 1st class ticket to Tanzania, a guided tour to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, and a cellist who plays live music for you while you eat. However, not all is luxury and decadence for the company offering this desert, promises that one-sixth of the price is donated to an African charity dedicated to working on environmental conservation and climate change.

Bear Extraordinaire

Bear Extraordinaire

Acclaimed Pastry Chef Rosario Wakabayashi and a collection of rare ingredients make the Bear Extraordinaire. To find it, head to the Baccarat Hotel in New York. The dessert starts with a white chocolate egg hand-painted with coloured cocoa butter. Then, 3g of black truffle crumble, dark Manjari chocolate from Madagascar, and Valrhona Gold cocoa nibs support the treat. The dessert is then dressed in citrus meringue, hibiscus champagne sauce, and fondant butterflies covered with a spun sugar nest. The final touches are edible silver and gold leaves. However, surprisingly, what contributes the most to the value of this ice cream is the porcelain bowl and bear-shaped crystal top in which the Bear Extraordinaire is served. Shockingly, the price drops staggeringly to just $300 without the bowl.
